  • Has it really been 50 years !!

I remember reading the book and when the film came out it was banned after a few showings (by Kubrick himself apparently ! )

I wasn't a fan of the movie, and the book was absolute unintelligible garbage that was a weird hybrid of english and Russian. My Russian friend is the only person I know who's read the book because she speaks both languages. The movie was visually appealing, but otherwise just stupid

I liked the book a lot but the movie was just alright, IMO.

It's an uncomfortable movie to watch with a significant other, if they've never seen it before.

Something I would suggest not doing.

Maybe choose "Legends of the Fall" instead for date night DVD movie..

Im going to feel really fookin old when Star Wars turns 50 (2027)

Hell, we are even closer to Independence Day being 50 than when it was released (1996)

For me it's Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

I can't wrap my brain around the fact that it's been 20 years since it's release

I remember when Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was a new show. Batman too.
