  • Netflix Shows

I don't get a lot of time for Netflix, but there are some specific shows exclusive to there right now that I like. Here's Mine. Now list yours.

    Umbrella Academy
    Stranger Things
    Fuller House
    Lucifer
    American Horror Story
    The Ranch

stranger things is pretty great. i like american horror story, but i don't think it's exclusive to netflix. that's where i watch it, but isn't it actually on fx? community, of course. everyone should watch bojack horseman. it doesn't seem to get near the credit it deserves, but it's seriously one of the best overall shows i can remember watching. arrested development was a great show, but by the time netflix brought it back the magic was over and the last seasons were just an ok watch, i think there's still even a season out there that i haven't bothered with yet.

yeah, i actually watched AHS on hulu originally, way back when it first came out. now netflix is easier. i'm honestly not sure if i even have hulu anymore. i was planning to cancel it since i don't really use it anymore, but i'm not sure if i ever did that or not.

bojack is one of those shows that you just have to watch to really understand. on the surface it's just a silly comedy, and that's really mostly all it was for the first season or so. but it ended up getting really deep, and it manages to walk that fine line of being both one of the funniest and one of the saddest shows out there at the same time.

well that description made me want to watch it.
i always liked that about Scrubs... that it could be funny and ridiculous and then serious and sad. just like real life, i guess.

oh yeah, scrubs was another really good show that i'd pretty much forgotten about. at least until the last season, obviously.

The stuff Netflix produces reminds me of straight to DVD movies

Sometimes they are watchable, but they never kind of really get over that line

So much so I don't even bother watching them anymore if they are tagged with "Netflix Original"

AHS isn't a Netflix original but it's a pretty good show. I haven't watched it in quite a bit--I think I lost interest during the vampire season. My favorite was definitely "Asylum"

Honestly, I've been skipping around. Wasn't keen on watching that season either, but it does tie into season 8 apocalypse, which I LOOOOVe! And I really loved 1 Murder House. Asylum was good too though.

Oh, and fyi this thread can be for any shows that are now on Netflix. Lucifer wasn't a Netflix original either, and it's unfortunate it moved exclusively (?) there because we used to watch it from home.

Another great series is Burn Notice (costaring Bruce Campbell from the Evil Dead movies/show). Also not a Net original, but I watched the last 2 seasons there since they didn't seem to air them ever locally.

I haven't seen Umbrella Academy yet but I plan on it. I'm totally team Ellen Paige. But I hardly watch Netflix anymore except to re binge Gilmore Girls like once a year. Cobra Kai is moving to Netflix which will probably make it my fav Netflix show by default.

Oh, almost forgot about Chef show (I think its Netflix original) with chef Roy Choi

i miss Gilmore Girls! got out of touch when it went on hiatus (or did it just move then?). Regardless, i only saw the first few seasons. It was good tho!

Fun the later seasons weren't as good. It was like the writers ran out of ideas and made it into a soap opera with people marrying and immediately divorcing their exes and people finding out about long lost children they never knew they had. It was weird. Still fun to watch tho

i can't decide whether they actually don't make them like they used to, or my attention span isn't what it used to be

But I can't think of a single show like either Gilmore Girls or Dawson's Creek that I have been sucked into since they were on

Anyway, I noticed a couple days ago Twilight is on Netflix here now, today is freezing cold, so I'm going to stay in, stay toasty under the doona and watch that for like the 50th time

hmm, i know i don't know you THAT well, but I wouldn't have pegged you as one who watches Twilight. I dunno. I've never seen it, just heard the ridiculous amount of criticisms. sigh!

The Queer eye reboot is a little annoying, even though I watched every episode

The builder/design guy shits all over the rest of them, the others do what, give the guy a haircut, teach him/her to cook a meal...and the design guy comes along and remodels their whole friggin house

And the original series, Jay was the Culture guy and I don't ever remember him giving psych evaluations like the current culture guy does, who isn't even gay anyway, so annoying

And Jonathan shouldn't bare his mid riff if it's going to be pudgy and hairy

seriously, the new queer eye doesn't even have queer eyes? does the straight guy have some other trait that makes him a logical casting choice, or are they just completely ignoring the premise of the show now?

I don't know who picked those 5 guys, I get the impression Netflix just decided to reboot it any they just slapped together 5 guys they could find. Although the original cast, 3 of them were pretty boring and only Carson and Jay should have really been there.

The trouble with any ensemble cast I suppose, you don't really know if it all works until it does

              i love Black Mirror
it was over a year ago i watched them all, and then just this week i remembered i never got around to watching Bandersnatch, the "choose your own adventure" style one.
so that's what i've been doing last night and today. i need to find out if i missed anything by following Ritman the first time around. i know it led me back to where i was but what if i just go that way the first time. then he can't have the memory of the guy jumping off the balcony.

i could get a bit obsessive about this. i don't think there is anything left to see of the story play out, but there were tiny changes that gave more detail and understanding. i don't really want to watch it again but it's going to really bother me that i've never tried a certain sequence of choices.

I have Black Mirror and Stranger things on my to watch list. Sounds like good stuff from what I heard and both got recommended to me several times

Umbrella Academy is fun. I also recommend Russian doll, I think most of you like that stuff too!

I also watch Rick & Morty there, which has some new episodes. Heavily recommended if you like weird stuff :-D

Rick and Morty is another one that I'd like to watch at some point. I've seen a few clips and loved those!

STD (I love that that is the acronym) wasn't Netflix though, produced by CBS
