^.. and it's that book that I think will actually make a better film, perhaps, so I have vague plans to re-write it as a screenplay... but there are first three more books, connected to the first, that i need to complete. it's just something that crossed my mind though.. that when i write I "see" it very vividly in my head and then try to write the novel of what i can see. and talking to many different people who have read the book, I can tell that I don't yet do a good enough job of translating what I see, and that I'd spent ten years building my sense of self around the idea I was a novelist without ever considering i might actually be a better screenplay writer.

but i just have to write them as novels first, now. so they exist.. screenplays rely on other people who make films making them.. a novel only needs me : )

I read your post yesterday.
Thought about it on n off all day..

I kinda figured that with all the amateur, cam girls, couples running their own porn websites, and so much live streaming content that profession was on the way out.

Then I did some searching on AVN and was surprised to see alot of pretty cool things in the industry that still need Director's on set.

So...... I agree. The demand for Director's is still out there.
