My brother and I used to go up to visit our maternal grandparents ever summer. We'd stay for a week and they let us get away with murder, lol. For starters, we could watch whatever we wanted. (Porn wasn't readily available back then, so never got to test that one out.) The TV adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot played one summer and granny let us stay up and watch...big mistake. I couldn't go near a window at night for weeks. This has got to be one of the creepiest scenes ever.

Most of the movie I was good with but I remember being freaked out during Batman Returns with the Penguin in his underground lair during one of the scenes. Might have been this one.
There were some nice jump scares and thrills in Jurassic Park, especially since I recall it being substantially louder than any movie I had seen before it but I found that more exhilirating than anything.

Steven King is winning here.
My most terrifying moment (or hour if you like) was when I watched IT by Steven King. The original one.
Also my mom didn't let me watch the whole thing so I never got the catharsis from a hopeful end. Just the terror.
I still shit apples in the idea of the film although I am a junkie for terror and have watched most horror films available.
Still shitting pears when I am unexpectedly surprised by a clown!
Evil bastards.....

My oldest sister and my mom went to see it in theaters. I was really young. Me and my other sister camped out in her room that night, and she told us all about how Freddy was going to get us in our sleep.
About four years ago I became convinced Freddy was a real person. I thought you had to arrange your environment with slashes so he couldn't get you. I remember walking down the train tracks singing, "One, two, Freddy's coming for you..." There were dead birds everywhere that year. I arranged their bones to protect me from Freddy.

I can't actually remember how the movie starts. Were they just walking through the crypt already, or was there more to it?
